Slippery Rock University has a great campus and small-town feel. The town of Slippery Rock surrounds the campus and is a very quaint, charming, and walkable area. The local residents of Slippery Rock are very friendly and welcoming to all students. Main street has everything you need in terms of places to eat and drink, including a few small shops as well. Such a great experience!

I am not a student yet but from the experience I have had it has been an amazing campus. Everyone is so nice and very helpful. I am so glad I decided on slippery rock. They want their students to really succeed! I am so excited to start my journey in collage life on this campus. Their number one rule is to ask for help, and their faculty is more than willing to help their students succeed and move on to their careers

My experience at Slippery Rock University has been in the best word to describe a constant struggle. I major in Hospitality and Tourism at Slippery Rock university. This major at Slippery Rock is very small, consisting of only two professors and roughly under 30 students across freshman to sophom*ores. Having such a small group of students you might think faculty would have more time to help students and guide them, however there is no support or even knowledge of our major at points. In my experience you have to strongly rely and make connections with other professors outside the major or other administrators for guidance and help; as well as building bonds with your fellow classmates. While going to classes I also work roughly 30 hours a week as well trying to support myself and professors have no respect for this as well. Many professor at SRU want all your time even outside the class to go towards them.
